SOURFACE VIN ROSé
Anglo-Parisian quartet Sourface have dropped the epic, melodramatic single, ‘Vin Rosé’. The track, sung entirely in French, drifts between shimmering psychedelia and slick lounge pop, with full orchestral arrangements allowing the track a sense of true rock-opera grandeur. The track’s climax is truly memorable, almost acting as a film score to the delightful animated music video that comes with the track. Sourface are releasing their debut album, The Eternal Summer, on March 22nd, 2024. The album is a mesh of an impressively wide range of musical styles (ranging from post-punk to psych-funk and everything in between), and is held together by a complex narrative. Ludo Aslangul explains how this new release fits in: “‘Vin Rosé’ dramatises the grand battle between Sourface and the Lizard King, positivity and despair, endless summer and eternal darkness. Pouring every last drop of ecstasy, despair, hope and dread into the figurative glass, Sourface encourages you to drink to madness, courage, and most importantly, to the very last drop.” -Dan Peeke
